    • 31:42 – Embrace leadership and direction – ask directed questions.

  • 34:50 – Pillar #2: Communication – Effective communication is key in any relationship.

    • 35:35 – Authoritative speaking: Downward inflection, going slowly, removing filler words, and giving a response later if you don’t know.

    • 44:00 – Effective digging: Helping your clients go deeper to get a more efficient answer using the words “what” and “how”.

    • 47:10 – Active listening: Bypass assumptions, reflect, and ask for ecology and confirmation.

    • 50:14 – Metaphors and proverbs: They stick with your clients and show them the bigger picture when you use them in the moment.

    • 52:55 – Sticky values: A repeated phrase that you consistently come back to as a general rule.

    • 55:50 – Role fluidity: Be fluid between your roles with your clients as their coach, friend, and sage.

  • 58:10 – Pillar #3: Rituals – Your clients can rely on them for flexibility and predictability.

    • 59:30 – Start your calls the same way and exemplify the energy you want on the call.

    • 01:00:30 – We do grounding exercises, pre-call intention-setting, and ritualized weekly progress data-tracking to show your client the value of your work. 

    • 01:03:10 – Decide how to open, close and conduct coaching calls.
